Thanksgiving is just days away. Ok, weeks away, but it is almost here. I'm the type of person that tries to think of the things that I'm thankful for all year long, but I tend to really dwell on it around this time of year. So, here are a few things - My husband - he is a great guy. He loves me and shows it. He respects me and my feelings and helps out around the house because he knows I hate doing dishes. He doesn't fuss when I've been spending to much time/money Spreading Joy and neglect the house work. He takes very good care of us. My children - I love my kids. I'd give them the world if I could. They love to do for others and love being with family. They both have huge hearts. They are normal teens in that we don't always agree, but they are good kids - with great character, and I'm so very thankful for that. My Job - In this economy, It's good to have a job, but one that you enjoy with people you enjoy doing things you enjoy - now that is just a plus...don't you think? My family - My Mommie, step parents, sister and brothers aunts and uncles and cousins (especially those that take long lunches with me) are the greatest. I love them all. No family always agree with each other, but no matter what, we are still family and the love is always there. My Friends - those that love me, regardless of me. IF you have a few friends like that, then you are indeed a very wealthy person! My simple pleasures - the things I enjoy the most, I'm so thankful for. - Internet, coffee (liquid gold), reese cups, vehicles, makeup (gotta paint the barn...)fun backgrounds for computers, movies, Christmas music, beach, sun rise, alone time, reading - ahh...the library - a great FREE resource of wonderful joy. I know these are the basics that everyone is thankful for, but it is good to simply acknowledge these things from time to time.
