So - it is only 16 days into this wonderful new year and my "others box" is looking mighty fine - thanks to the great 90%off sale that Rite Aid is having. Some wonderful Christmas stuffed animals that were originally 5.99 and 7.99 are now a WONDERFUL .59 CENTS AND .79 CENTS. I'm so happy! I probably already have 12 or more items so that means I'm doing great at reaching my 1 item per week goal. I'd LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to have 52 items to donate at Christmas time! Wouldn't that be a wonderful thing!?! AND - this has not hurt the budget at all. I've been making my coffee at work instead of buying it, and bringing lunch - etc. So - How about you? Did you start an other's box? Did you take advantage of these wonderful sales. Before you know it, Valentines day will be over and more stuffed animals will be 90% off - and 3-7 year old girls just LOVE stuffed animals - (well even some 40something girls love them to - especially MONKEYS) (don't even get me started about the age thing....uugghhh) It's probably not to late. You can take advantage of some great deals. Oh how about it....WHAT'S YOUR STORY? WHAT GRET DEALS ARE YOU TAKING ADVANTAGE OF FOR NEXT YEAR?

So, I was able to purchase 2 more items for my others box today. I'm glad I have a head start on the year as it seems that the economy may be affecting my family sooner than I had imagined. My husbands hours have been cut back and that means we'll have to keep a tight reign on the cash flow - but still - I'll still keep spreading joy -just finding way to do it at no cost/low (very low) cost. It is doable - and very satisfying....because no matter how you slice it - doing something for others is making a difference!
