Starting a clothing charity was real easy and absolutely the most Joyous experience I ever had.Everything from Clothing racks to helpers time was all given. Once I started with flyers and began talking to churches, then a location in a finished Church basement that lasted for 33 months. Everything offered for free for anyone and everyone. In need or otherwise too. We had so much fun. Just made it up as I went along. Of course it also helped that I had a fashion merchandising degree for sorting and stuff. But in our rural area, man did we make a difference. Radio announcements were free. Christmas time was a blast and sooooo many wanted to give. They just needed an avenue to help their neighbors. Of course we welcomed folks from all the surrounding towns as well. When fires happened, we were there. When Katrina happened we sent a huge truck load. Some packed boxes and sent them to 3rd World countries. Injured soldiers families, out of work families, many many disabled, seniors, young families, even graduation clothes for a school. Please encourage or do this in your community. It creates community, is a great lesson to our children and all will be very blessed in surprising ways for having done so.
