We will use this page to keep you updated on some of our current needs. SJC's goal is to get as much donated as possible to meet the everyday operational needs so that we can use our other resources to continue Spreading Joy. This list will continually change as our needs are met and we continue to grow. So check back often.
- Stamps - Yes stamps! I'm sending out letters to many foundations every week and stamps will help.
- Thank you cards and/other greeting cards. I love homemade cards, but find I lack the creativity to make them. If you are crafty and make cards - I'd love to have a variety! That would be spreading joy indeed!
- Toys, toys, toys!! Or gift cards for toys - See Christmas Section
- Cello bags - gift bags - something to make "Joy Packs" out of. Even if you purchased 3 packs from the Dollar store and sent them - that would be awesome! Completely!
- Monthly financial partners - You can safely make donations online via Paypal. Will you consider donating to Spreading Joy Corporation on a monthly basis? Remember - even if you can't give big - simply giving will have you spreading joy in no time. Choose to donate to Christmas Joy or any of our other passions. All donations are currently going directly into giving! I am blessed to have a wonderful full time job, so I do not require a wage!
Gifts In Kind:
Do you have a surplus of paper, items you have had on sale, trinkets, bags, books, toys, games etc.? "Gifts in kind" are "things" that you can donate. Any "gifts in kind" items will be distributed where it is needed the most. We are very creative and WILL find a use for anything you have an overage of. Don't throw out the excess your company has - DONATE IT! Do you have items on clearance? Why not get a tax receipt for FULL RETAIL? DONATE IT!
Many of the items you donate will be used in Joy Packs! These packs are given out to people that work in Drive Thru's, Emergency Room Waiting Rooms, Dr. Offices. - People I pass. My son even had a great idea - to put some in Buggies that were just sitting in their stall - so the next person that grabbed the buggy would receive a nice Joy Pack to brighten their day! Even if the package is damaged - I can "re package" it to look so very lovely....I'm crafty that way.
